Emilia Plater Polish School Event

Emilia Plater Polish School Event

As a person that was born and grew up in Poland, I understand the importance of Polish Saturday Schools, where they teach young children Polish language, history, literature, and customs. Therefore, when I was asked to photograph Emilia Plater Polish Saturday School’s event, I was very honored and proud. This is the second year in a row that I was part of the fundraising event from which all the proceeds will be used for the needs of the school.

This year’s event took place at The Seville Banquets in Streamwood in a beautifully decorated banquet room.  I loved the background with Eiffel Tower, which fit the theme of this year’s event: Night in Paris, perfectly. Although, just for a few hours, we all felt we were in Paris!

I hope you enjoy the highlights from the Night in Paris Event, please check back soon, more photos from the event will be posted soon on my website.  In meantime, if you’d like any information regarding wedding, event, portrait, real estate photography, please contact me at [email protected] or 630.550.7460.

Chicago Greek Orthodox Wedding

Chicago Greek Orthodox Wedding

Amanda and Sam’s Orthodox Greek Wedding integrated both Greek and Armenian traditions. Amanda along with her beautiful bridesmaids got ready at her parents’ home in Bartlett, a suburb of Chicago. The ceremony took place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmhurst, IL. The bride looked amazing walking down the aisle.  It was a very emotional moment for the groom once he saw his bride for the first time.  I loved seeing Sam break down in tears once he saw Amanda standing down the aisle.  Later on, during the reception, Armenian band and Greek DJ got everyone on to the dance floor. The wedding was full of love, laughter, and dancing!
