The celebrations began with a traditional Mehndi party where Sapna and her guests had beautiful henna tattoos painted on their hands and arms. Talented henna artists worked the entire day and evening to paint beautiful mehndi designs. Some of the designs included floral patterns, shapes, names, and even their wedding hashtag.

Bride to be in a traditional Indian fashion wore a fuchsia pink lehengha with yellow choli and green accents. Elegant Indian jewelry and soft curls complimented her beauty.

Sapna personalized her bridal henna by hiding the groom’s name in the design. It was so much fun seeing Nihil searching for his name. The intricate pattern of the mehndi did not make it easy for Nikhil to find it.

The party continued through the evening hours with guests enjoying delicious Mexican food catered by North of the Border restaurant and traditional Indian sweet desserts.

As the sun was setting and it started to get dark outside, it was a perfect time for all guests to start lighting sparklers and releasing balloons. This was a perfect way to end Mehndi event.
